Recently I've been seeing lots of discussion about copyright and stuff, cause...reasons.
Especially some C. Dr.ow's believer one like "All artworks belong to public asset" and "Information should be free" shit.

One of the biggest flaw is, their shit won't work, or like what the title says, it will lead to the jungle law.
Why? The whole point of pro-Remix culture is, we should be allowed to use everything as we please.
Believe it or not, we are already witnessing the end result of this taking effect.
It's call damn Gen AI. It always comes back to Gen AI goddamn it.

Gen AI, in the bottom of its heart, is actually based on the usage of everyone's artwork without limitation and consent.
And look at what we have here. Everyone throws artists, musicians, writers (creative variant) away and claim its win.
Some sack of shit spammer use illustratior's artwork to train a image model and fucking using it to promote their p2w shit game.
Company salvating at chance to fire off their workers cause "I can produce an ad without you money siphon".
Because of what? Because of tech company and users using other's artwork freely.
I am fucking surprised that Stability didn't let Cory Doctorow become its CEO you know? They got so fucking much in common!
Even without talking about the reality, guess why most of people are simplfying everything they said now?
Cause our brain prefer less thinking. So, guess what would happen after we get rid of copyright in general?
Coming up with idea DO take some thinking, but actually performs it and enforce it takes more.
Bold for those motherfuckers think most people will not just rip off some of the better creatives and creating an Everest of repetitive shit.
Eventually, no one would want to make new stuff, cause once they did, the cheaper, "remix" variant of it, will quickly become the people's choice.
Ended with the one who can advertise their stuff best and putting least resource on actually making stuff wins.
It is, believe it or not, another talking point of CDr.ow :"Your problem isn't piracy, your problem is obscurity."

Guess why most of shit company paid heavily on youtubers now?

As for the polar opposite, too much protection will ended up with no one will risk doing anything, which if you actually lives in this world, is not what we have now.

For funsies, let's run through some other suggestion like "companies shouldn't have copyright"
First, you need to know the copyright we mostly saying is the "property right", which is transferable.
It's also the main reason why so-called companies can hold lots of IP rights.
Wanna guess why?
Other than public asset stuff going on, corp merger or buy out, as far as I know, did contains transfering IP right most of the time.
Why the merger?
Now this is more complicated. Sometimes is because "they can buy everything they can", which sucks, but sometimes it's because those who holds their original IP, but can't afford to run, are left without choice.
Then you can go on and blame that on weather, not enough marketing or whatever.
And do remember complexity is also a factor of making laws and stuff, if any of you are considering making "companies shouldn't have copyright" a real law.
Making it too complicated will only end up preventing anyone to use the system.
Case in point? PLA rights in Taiwan.
On top of needing to fill huge amount of sheets for it, it also only ended up getting a tiny amount of money as a return that can't even fill your stomach.

But enough of this, look at the sheer amount of Gen AI made slop and noise and tell me remix culture will have a good end result.
THAT is what you want exactly as it is.
